English is the language of instruction at Intercollege in most academic programmes. Some students are concerned that their English is not up to the standard that College education requires. If you are troubled about your level of spoken or written English don’t worry! For here, in Intercollege Limassol, we can help you improve your English and truly benefit from your studies.
First of all, you may benefit by attending the one-month College Skills and Orientation (COSKO) programme offered at no charge to all new students, just before the beginning of the Fall semester. This programme is extremely popular, well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. It includes four weeks of English instruction but it also provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the College and the way it operates.
Second, students who do not meet the minimum English proficiency requirements will be assessed and enrolled in specially designed remedial courses according to their assessment results. These courses address the individual needs of each student, preparing them to meet the demands of their programme requirements through lectures, personal tutoring, interactive computer instruction and a series of activities.
